Build Skills for Everyday Life and Meaningful Participation

Occupational Therapy supports participants to take part in the activities that matter to them, from personal routines and home life to learning, work, relationships, and community participation.

Practical Support Connected to Real Routines

Everyday activities can become difficult when a person experiences challenges with movement, planning, sensory processing, attention, regulation, fatigue, confidence, or the environment around them.

Fresh Start Wellness Occupational Therapy begins with understanding what the participant wants or needs to do. We assess current strengths and barriers, then work with the participant and authorised support network to identify practical ways to improve function, participation, safety, and independence.

Support may focus on developing skills, adapting tasks, changing environments, building routines, or recommending suitable equipment and technology.

What Support May Include

  • Personal-care and self-management skills
  • Daily routines and household participation
  • Sensory assessment and regulation strategies
  • Fine and gross motor support within occupational goals

  • Functional capacity assessment
  • Assistive technology assessment and recommendations
  • Environmental modification recommendations
  • Fatigue and energy-management strategies
  • Carer and support-team education
  • Progress review and goal adjustment
